Can a Sip of Apple Cider Vinegar Keep Mosquitoes Away?

Can a Sip of Apple Cider Vinegar Keep Mosquitoes Away?

Ever wonder why some people get bitten more than others? It turns out that mosquitoes can detect specific chemicals we silently emit through sweat, breath and skin bacteria. These “trail markers” include carbon dioxide, lactic acid, ammonia, and carboxylic acids - and they tell mosquitoes exactly where to bite.

How ACV might change that:
Apple cider vinegar (ACV) contains acetic acid, a compound with strong aroma. When you consume it:
1. It enters your system and may slightly shift your internal pH balance and support your gut + skin microbiome.
2. As you sweat, trace amounts of acetic acid and other metabolites are excreted, subtly altering your body's scent profile.
3. Mosquitos, finely attuned to common attractants, find the new aroma less enticing

  • This isn't DEET-level protection. Instead, it's a gentle scent shift, not a chemical shield.
  • The effect is anecdotal, not clinically proven.
  • Still, it makes sense that mosquitoes are chemical detectives, even a small scent change might make a different.

So, try it!
Instead of drowning in raw ACV, we created a tastier, wellness-friendly way to get the benefits: Immune Support Wellness Drops. Made with Organic ACV for that scent-altering effect.

In Summary:
- Mosquitos home in on specific sweat/breath smells
- ACV can shift your scent profile by changing internal acidity
- Immune Support Drops make it easy to add ACV to your daily regime
